The GORAL x Naked & Famous Denim MELLOR is a limited-edition sneaker crafted from the world’s heaviest denim, the legendary 32oz Japanese selvedge denim woven in Okayama, Japan.

Made using ultra-thick yarns more commonly found in carpet and sailcloth, this extraordinary fabric pushes traditional denim manufacturing to its limits. Woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms by specialist artisans, the 32oz denim is renowned worldwide for its rarity, texture, and uncompromising character. Famously featured standing upright on its own, this is one of the most iconic heavyweight denims ever produced.

For this collaboration, we've transformed the fabric into a fully resoleable MELLOR sneaker, combining heritage craftsmanship with modern durability and comfort. Each pair is handcrafted in England using premium materials and built to be repaired, rebuilt, and worn for years to come.

Despite the extreme weight of the denim, the MELLOR delivers a surprisingly comfortable fit while retaining all the rich texture and structure that makes 32oz selvedge denim so sought after by denim enthusiasts and collectors alike.

We only have enough denim for 90 pairs, making this release a rare opportunity to own a true piece of denim history.
